MEET RACHEL

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy.

For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”
- Albert Camus

The areas I specialize in are those where I’ve done my own deep work and formal training, grounded in a cherished tapestry of lived experience.

I believe it’s possible to meet challenges with joy and defiant resilience, enabling us to be our true and loving best.

  • I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, after menopause.

ADHD wasn’t something I had considered until a close friend embarked on his own ADHD journey. He saw a reflection of himself in how I navigated the world, sparking an open and compassionate conversation that eventually led to my own diagnosis and treatment.

Following many waves of emotions —surprise, grief, and countless ‘a-ha!’ moments—I came to realise that the strategies, habits, and skills I’d built over the years had been quietly supporting me all along.

These tools helped my neurodivergent brain find creative ways to thrive in a world designed for neurotypical minds.

  • My journey through relationships has been anything but conventional. I identify as queer with pronouns 'she/her'.
Since 2008, I’ve been deeply immersed in ‘alternative’ relationship dynamics, which has given me profound insight into navigating the complexities of relational structures that exist beyond societal norms.

I’ve come to understand the unique challenges and joys that come with consensual non-monogamy, conscious uncoupling, and the diverse relational journeys of LGBTQIA+ individuals.

My aim is to provide a non-judgmental and wholly affirming space for those exploring and transitioning their relationships, helping to cultivate clarity, connection, and personal growth through the process.

  • I was born in Malaysia, raised in Australia, and educated across British and Canadian curricula. I eventually returned to Australia to pursue a Bachelor's in Journalism, where I first discovered the transformative power of asking great questions.

As a Third Culture Kid, I navigated life by code-switching across cultures and weaving an internal tapestry of Eastern and Western traits. This helped me ‘build a relationship with all cultures while not fully belonging to any,’* a journey that has brought both a deep sense of grace and an enduring sense of longing.

From my own experience, I’m passionate about holding space for those who find themselves navigating multiple worlds, where ‘home’ might feel more like an abstract concept than a physical place.

Modalities: Gestalt coaching informed by positive psychology, social field theory, parts work, narrative exploration and existential philosophy.

Our sessions may begin with a short breathwork exercise, incorporating mindfulness of the body.

Depending on the session's focus, I might invite you to notice sensations or feelings in your body as we explore your topics. This pausing and noticing increases grounding and present-centred awareness, allowing for a deeper and more insightful exploration.

What I’m About: A few of my favorite things are cats, coffee, and compersion. I’m a huge fan of all things Star Trek, especially the 'Darmok' episode from The Next Generation series.
A cause I’m passionate about is the impact of homelessness on pets. I’m working to help create a world where every furred and feathered family member will have a safe, consistent home alongside their human.
